Abstraction CAM SCORM
A reference model used as a reference in making e-learning content is SCORM. SCORM is a part of the project, Advanced Distributed Learning (ADL) initially (ADLnet.org) sponsored by the United States Department of Labor, the Department of Defense and National Guard Bureau. ADL is initially inaugurated in 1997 by the White House Office of Science and Technology, which the aims are to standarize and mondernise training and education in the distance learning or e-learning (electronic learning).
SCORM evolution occurred more than 3 times since initialize in 1997. Seen progressive changes experienced in 2004, namely January 2004 (SCORM 1st Edition), July 2004 (SCORM 2nd Edition) and October 2006 (SCORM 3rd Edition). The changes will cause different effects on implementation. Advantages and disadvantages become integral part not on the effect of the implementation of standardization.
Content Aggregation Model or the abbreviated CAM is the main specification of SCORM which represents the right way for the manufacturer and implementing instructions to gather resources or learning materials, which aims to provide an atmosphere of learning effectively. Along with the changes that occur in the SCORM in general, the CAM, it changes specifically in the Content Model, Content Packaging, Metadata and the sequencing and Navigation.
